Smells are the first things that strike you. Food is revered, sausage is a delicacy, and ajvar is a culinary delight to be embraced. The scent of cigarette smoke pervades the air. This is Serbia.
It was the perfect early autumn afternoon in Novi Sad, Serbia. The temperature hovered around 90, but the bride was cool, calm and collected standing in the shady courtyard by the church, chatting with friends and posing for the camera.
Our blogging buddy Carol at Which Way Now 101 invited us to participate in a B&W photo challenge. We don’t use many black and white shots in our blog posts, so it sounded like an interesting challenge.
We did! Not because we’re Irish – it was the only (very cool) date available to us.
