Tybee Island is just a hop, skip and a jump from Savannah, Georgia – about 18 miles through serene salt marshes. But it seems worlds away from the stately, southern mansions of Savannah’s Historic District to the fun and funky beach culture of Tybee Island.
Spanish moss dangles from ancient live oaks and sways in the breeze. Elegant urns overflow with ivy; azaleas in every shade of pink compete for attention. And the sweet scent of pralines permeates the air. It’s springtime in Savannah.
We’re in Savannah, Georgia for a few days to celebrate our wedding anniversary. In the meantime we’ll leave you with one of our favorite fountains in front of the Old Savannah Cotton Exchange. Have a lovely Monday, Terri and James
Happy St.Patricks Day Everyone! We love St. Patrick’s Day because it’s our Wedding Anniversary. We were married over Spring Break in our last year of university. So we’ve been together … a while!
This past year has been fantastic for us. We completed another eye-opening Round-the-World Trip, bought a little condo and embarked on some challenging renovation projects, spent a month in the Baltic States, visited with friends and family … and made some great new friends.
After six months out of the country, I had a bit of catching up to do. You know, eat a few juicy burgers, visit my favorite stores, and watch a little TV, that kind of thing.
I’ve had a lifelong fascination with tiny abodes. Tree houses, gypsy wagons, log cabins, and Airstream Bambis have all sparked my imagination over the years.
