Hello! I have just acquired one of these tapestry’s and I am trying to find out as much information about it as I can. It looks very similar to the designs of this orange one. Do you have any more information on what the symbols mean? or where I could find the information ? Thank you!
Thanks for the comment Max and for dropping by the blog. There were lots of these folk tapestries in Peru, and they’re all complex and highly colorful. But as is the case with much folk art, documentation is scarce. However, we did find an organization online which might be a good place to start your research.
