It was early Sunday morning and the only activity at the sleepy crossroads was the Marathon Station: bleary-eyed customers filling their tanks with gasoline and their tummies with caffeine and sugary donuts.
If you’ve traveled much you know that one of the toughest things to maintain on the road is an exercise routine. No matter where you travel, the easiest excuse to invent is the one to skip exercise.
Plan as you might, whether between cities, countries, or continents, transit days are tiring and stressful. Some trips are harder than others of course, but in foreign countries almost all trips are demanding.
The holidays are rolling around again, and for me, this pleasant downtime is a good opportunity to reflect on what’s been happening in my life.
