This is New Orleans

We were newlyweds and fresh university graduates when we set out for our first adventure. New Orleans was our big leap into the real world.

And what a leap it was … more like jumping out of a plane and landing in Oz. We loved it!

And next week we’re going to share our love of New Orleans with you. Until then, here’s a photographic preview of the Crescent City.

Peace,
Terri

  1. Good to come across your posts and photos of NOLA as we research our visit there in October. It will be amazing to finally experience it in person.

    1. Hi Haley, So glad you stopped by and enjoyed the New Orleans posts. We lived there when we graduated university, and fell deeply in love with the city. Although we’ve been gone many years we still love to visit. Hope you have a fantastic stay. How are things in Wellington (one of my favorite cities)? We spent several weeks there last year while James was recovering from Dengue Fever he caught in Southeast Asia. Everyone we encountered in Wellington was incredibly kind and helpful. All the best, Terri

      1. Wellington is great, except for the recent spate of earthquakes. Nothing overly destructive here, thankfully and touch wood!, but the top of the South Island has had a bit of a battering. It would’ve been quieter in that sense during your stay, the reason for which I’m very sorry to hear. I can imagine the coastal Wellington air would have been quite therapeutic. Thanks for your reply, Hayley.

What do you think? We'd love to know!
