Twenty Years From Now

“Twenty years from now you will be
more disappointed by the things you didn’t do
than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines,
sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover.”
–Mark Twain

I love this quote. It seems to describe the decision we made long ago about our life together.

For us, that decision was to try new things. To embrace change. To discover our passions and pursue them. And that’s what we’ve done.

And those passions are different for everyone, whether you decide to raise a family, become a vegetarian, expand your education, change jobs, move to a new city, travel the world … or all these things. There are no right answers. Only the right answer for you.

So what do I want to be doing twenty years from now?

Just one thing. Celebrating with James. Happy Birthday Giacomo. I love you and our life together.
