Don’t Underestimate Hurricane Isaac

Hurricane Isaac

It’s another hot, humid, and dry day here on the Island, but for a couple of reasons, we can’t stop thinking about New Orleans. For both of us, our first jobs were in New Orleans, and if there’s

a better place to start a life, I don’t know it. Also, in our years in St. Augustine, we rode out a couple of Cat 1 hurricanes. So when we hear people say, “It’s barely a hurricane.” we know that we’re speaking with someone who hasn’t lived through one. Sustained winds of 75 mph may put Isaac at the low end of the scale, but let me tell you, it’s no easy thing to get through. Our hearts go out to the folks in Louisiana and on the coast, and we wish them well.

Take Care All,
James and Terri
